Mikael Knip

Dr. Knip's research focuses on type 1 diabetes (T1D) and other immune-mediated diseases in children and adolescents. He has functioned as a PI for a series of national and international studies, such as DIPP, TRIGR and DIABIMMUNE. More recently he and his research group have elaborated an interest in the intestinal microbiota and its potential role in the development of T1D and autoimmunity.
