Professor Khalid Hussain qualified from the University of Glasgow (Scotland UK) and trained in neonatology, metabolic medicine and endocrinology at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London and in Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne Australia. His research interests focus on understanding the genetic mechanisms of hypoglycaemia, understanding how hypoglycaemia leads to brain injury and understanding the developmental biology of the pancreas. He is currently the Chief of Pediatric endocrinology and Vice Chair for research at Sidra Medical and Research center.
