Dr Jason Howard is Sidra’s Division Chief of Orthopedic Surgery, and the Director of this course. He is a pediatric orthopedic and spine surgeon specializing in the treatment of spinal deformity (eg scoliosis), neuromuscular disorders (eg cerebral palsy), pediatric trauma, and general pediatric orthopedic conditions. Dr Howard brings more than 15 years’ experience obtained in Canada, and holds clinical fellowships in both pediatric orthopedics (Melbourne, Australia) and pediatric spine (Auckland, New Zealand). Dr Howard has previously run a highly successful, accredited Clubfoot Management training course in Nova Scotia, Canada, along with international course faculty Drs Pirani and Crawford. He has specific surgical interests in neuromuscular and idiopathic scoliosis surgery (including early-onset scoliosis), single event multi-level surgery for gait correction and hip reconstruction in cerebral palsy, treatment of long bone deformities in osteogenesis imperfecta, and innovative techniques for upper and lower extremity fracture management.
