Anders L. Carlson

Dr. Carlson’s research interests include diabetes technology, diabetes care delivery and hyperglycemia in oncology patients. Dr. Carlson has participated in several clinical trials through International Diabetes Center focusing on diabetes technology and new therapeutics. He also has experience using molecular techniques in beta cell research. Investigator on many clinical trials conducted through the International Diabetes Center, including: phase II and phase III studies in diabetes therapeutics (both insulin and non-insulin therapies) and medical devices, NIH-funded studies including EDIC and GRADE, and several artificial pancreas studies, including an NIH-funded study comparing algorithms for automated insulin delivery (FLAIR). Also serve as investigator on quality improvement projects including hyperglycemia and glucocorticoids in oncology patients, and refeeding syndrome in patients with anorexia nervosa and completed the Clinical Quality Advanced Training Program at Park Nicollet.
