Pediatric Immunologist & Allergist
A Pediatric Immunologist & Allergist and a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatric & Child Health in UK. She completed all her postgraduate training in Paediatric Immunology, Allergy and Infectious disease in UK. Amel has a wide experience in Paediatric Immunology especially in the field of Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) and their corrective therapy. She has worked in the department of Immunology and Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) at Great Ormond Street hospital in a variety of roles for over 17 years. She has extensive experience in HSCT for PIDs and has many publications in peer reviewed journals as well as presented at a number of conferences in UK and internationally. She has recently moved to Qatar and worked as the clinical head of the Qatar Genome Program, a national ambitious program aiming to use WGS data to improve the population healthcare facilitating the implementation of precision medicine.
